What is Organized Retail Crime (ORC)?
Organized Retail Crime (ORC) is an organized effort by two or more persons to convert illegally obtained merchandise or cash into financial gain through theft or fraud. This usually involves the theft of multiple quantities of similar products or thefts from multiple stores, multiple jurisdictions or multiple states.

A True Crime-Fighting Partnership
GRAORCA is a statewide crime-fighting partnership. The GRAORCA Alliance allows retailers and law enforcement agencies to communicate about criminal activity impacting business on a real-time basis, while preventing other partners from being victimized. The searchable website and its mapping capabilities are focused on providing a statewide real-time crime alert system. Through this collaborative partnership, law enforcement and the business community are able to identify offenders and resolve cases, all while developing new partnerships and innovative ways to combat ORC.

What is the Georgia Retail Association?
Since 1961, the Georgia Retail Association has protected Georgia's retailers from unreasonable taxes, fees, regulations and legislation because not everyone understands and appreciates your business like you do - and that includes the vast majority of the state's legislators and regulators. Georgia is a friendly state for retailers largely due to GRA's work over the past 40 years.  We know that you want to keep it that way. While serving as your governmental 'watchdog', we also recognize the value of providing numerous business services to help retailers operate business and money.  Whether you are a large chain retailer or an independent retail merchant, there's a reason to belong to the Georgia Retail Association. Membership to the GRA is encouraged. For more information please visit
